On front fee end paper is what appears to be a glossy sheet with photo of McClung and brief bio taped in with attendant tape stains ; Signed and dated by the author. A tight solid book, hinges intact; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 378 pages; McClung's personal account of growing up Manitoba in the 1800's. Common to the period she only received 6 years of education. In spite of and because of the hardships she experienced as a child and a young married woman she went on to become a champion of women's rights.. Very Good with no dust jacket .
